twitter iconToday, Twitter updated its iOS, Android, and mobile site with better search and auto-complete, making it easier to find content.

The biggest change to search on Twitter is how it displays results. A “Top Tweet” will now be highlighted at the top of search results, separate from the rest of the results. The “Top Tweet” will be determined by an algorithm that measures relevance and engagement.

Twitter is also introducing some new features for its Twitter app on the iPhone and iPad. When tapping on a link within a Tweet, the site will load in the app’s built-in browser and will display the original Tweet at the bottom, giving context to what’s in the browser. This method also makes it easy to favorite, retweet, and reply.

The iOS app will also auto-complete as you’re typing so it’ll bring up suggestions for hashtags, usernames, and topics that it thinks you’re searching for. The suggestions for auto-complete are updated in real-time.

You can get the latest Twitter apps for Android and iOS right from Softonic.
